Leal street racing tire selection

There is a group of people that rent the parking lot of our local drag strip to hold street racing like the show street outlaws. It is an 1/8 mile raceon asphalt and im wondering what tires i could use to get the most traction on the asphalt. These willue going on my v8 ranger wheni get it done thanks in advance.

Any of the drag radials out there would be perfect.....Nitto, BFG and Mickey Thompson all offer excellent ones.

Ok thanksfor the reply what sizewould be best. Width and heighth wise? And since the 8.8 i have is wider than the stock 7.5 what back space on the wheels can i use to get the tire under the fender? And i do plan on tubbing the bed for wider wheels. And if i have to i can modify the fender arch.
