Leaky Ranger

So i noticed my headliner had been getting wet in the rain and there was even a tiny about of mold on it. bought LED bulbs for the third brake light and sealed it up with silicone real good. on my way to class this afternoon in the rain and get there and discover its still getting wet. the spot was right above the back glass and was wondering if anyone else has had that problem there and how did they fix it

anyone know what it would cost roughly to replace the entire back glass and rubber?

on my 1995 ranger the seal around the GLASS was soaking my head liner, had to remove the whole back window and apply new seal, problem fixed.

on my 1996 ranger the THIRD BRAKE LIGHT seal was soaking my head liner in the EXACT same place as my 1995, took out the brake light ran a bead of silicone and no more leak.

go figure.

I've had the same problem. I used rtv silicone sealant on the brake light to fix it. So far I haven't noticed any leaks. But now that you mentioned it, we have some hard rains today. I may check to see if its still holding in the morning.

this was the first rain since i used the sealant so i was pretty excited to finally have a dry headliner. then i was disappointed.

i thought about using some of the rtv sealant to seal around the back window but im nervous about it looking bad
