i have 91 s10 4.3, and i popped the oil cap yesturday and it was a bit miky, so i pulled the dipstick and theres no "milk" on the dipstick, so im assuming i have a bad head gasket, can i still drive like this? or is it gonna wreck something

thats just condensation in your motor building up on your cap i have it on most of my vehicles... not letting it warm up all the way can cause it wouldnt worry about it but keep a check on everythin as you shoul anyway

I have heard guys here say that a little bit of the "snot" on the oil cap can be normal winter moisture. Do you drive a lot of short distances? Any other reasons to think you have a blown gasket?

Thats a pretty common thing in the winter time, all my vehicles have some of that on the oil cap when I refill it after changin the oil. Theres a chance it could be the intake gaskets, but I dont think they were as troublesome back then as they are on the newer gms.
