Hello, I've searched, but haven't found another person SPECIFICALLY with the problem I have.

I wanted to ask how a third brake light leak usually manifests itself. I have wet headliner in both upper corners of my back glass, but not across the top. Could that still be third brake light, or probably glass seal? Or something else?

Also, I have leaks in both front floorboards. Passenger side is coming down firewall I believe, I lose track of it around the heater plenum. Driver side seems to be coming down kick panel, but I'm not sure. Any common leak areas in the front?

Not sure...what year is your truck? It may be more specific to certain years. My 88 Ranger single cab leaked around the firewall, but it was coming in from the drain tray (cowl) and leaking inside the cab. The A-pillar also leaked from a bad visor install that ended up rotting the roof...

Maybe specify the year of your truck though...

A 3rd brake light leak usually shows up as a wet head liner, mostly in the rear corners.

Check out this bulletin, it has good pics of a 3rd brake light leak. http://www.fordservicecontent.com/pubs/content/~WT/~MUS~LEN/3565/tsb12-04-04.pdf

The leaks up front could be a few things. On some earlier years the cowls tend to rot out and cause water leaks up front.

There is also an access panel for the wiper linkage on the inside of the firewall. I had a bad water leak caused by the seal on this panel going bad, which also acted much like you describe. I tore the dash out expecting to see a hug hole rusted through my firewall. All I found was water marks coming away from the access plate. I took it off, applied a coat of black RTV around the edge, put it back in. No further issues since.
