Anyone have information on how the slave cylinder works? I put two in my 87 and as soon as I bolted up the tranny but before I connected the master cylinder fluid line, they started to leak. Is there a seal or something inside the slave cyl that goes bad? Seems really strange that both cylinders started started leaking as soon as the trans was put in.

One of the slave cylinders was new. But prior to installation of the new cylinder I was trying to figure out how it functioned. After bench bleeding the master I hooked everything up (while the trans was still out of the truck) and tested the master. Fluid shot out around the throwout bearing. I guess I had a bad slave cyl to start with and damaged the new one playing around.
