I got a small drip coming from the fuel tank on my '96 Ranger 2WD. It seems to be under that cradle panel on the bottom. Has anybody had any luck repairing these? I went to the auto parts store tonight and they had several plastic tank repair kits , all marked not for fuel tanks? WTF? Anybody have any luck with a epoxy? How expensive are replacement tanks anyway? How tough are they to change out? I plan on pulling it out Saturday morning. Any feedback would be appreciated...Im figuring that there is probably two lines up under there and a sending unit. How difficult is it to remove the fuel lines? :icon_confused:

gas will eventually eat through any epoxy you put on there. i think it would be best to go to a bone yard and grab a better tank.

There should be plenty of repair kits for fuel tanks at the parts store. Copy these part numbers down and go to a Napa near you:

765-1565

765-1546

Thats funny bro because i have the same exact problem in my 2wd 1996, mine is more towards the top though, it leaks if i try to fill the full tank, i plan on just pickin up a used one at the local junk yard
