Hello, I have a 93ford ranger 4.0l 4x4. Has been overheating some lately, and losing coolant from the water pump area, but not the weep hole. I replaced the pump about 1yr ago, other than that it was running fine. Went out to start it today and it started running very rough, missing, black smoke, gasoline smell, drove it around the block and it would run fine for a while, then start missing, and would quit. is that a blown head gasket? I thought that was usually accompained by white smoke instead of black.
any suggestions would be appreciated.
