Leak in Differential

Noticed a leak coming out of the differential. It does not appear to be the pinon seal from the differential to the drive shaft. The drip is right at the very bottom of the differential. I wonder if it is the gasket seal on the pan? Any help would be great.

I reccomend resealing the diff cover, then spraying the whole diff down with brake clean. Then watch for the leak to reappear. That is if you want to go by process of elimination.

Or just replace the pinion seal, axle seals, and seal the cover with rtv at the same time. This is what id do...that way you only have to change the fluid once.

Could be weeping through a rotten diff cover as well.
