I no that yoiu can swap the chevy half ton leafs into the ranger for about 3 inches of lift but i was wondering if you could swap f150 leafs in by doing pretty much the same thing

Not sure about f150 srpings, but i got springs from a 94ish 4 door explorer 4x4, direct bolts in and gave me 2'' of lift, also a set of belltech 6400's shackles will give you about 1,5'' to 2'' of lift... i have both :)

Yes, and you don't even have to relocate the front leaf mount like with the Chevy leaf swap.

I was just reading up on this recently, but can't remember in which section. Do a search in either the 4x4 or Extreme Suspension section here on TRS for more info from a few that have done this.

okay thanks glad to here i wont have to relocate the mount to

I don't if it will give you any lift, but F150 leafs from at least '86 to '96 are the same length and width as all year Rangers.
Shackles and hangers are the same, too. Ranger front hangers changed in 1998, so they are different from that point on.

Likely you would get some lift due to different rates ant the extra leaf(s).

fullsize springs are 3" wide. RBV springs are 2.5" wide.

i say explo springs would ne the best bet, or just get a set of bell tech shackles for a bit of height

2wd f150s are 2 1/2 inches wide, the 4x4s are 3 inches wide

so does anyone know if the 2wd f150 springs would ginve me lift

the expo springs will get you to around the same lift as the chevy leafs but wont flex near as good....

I need to replace the rear leafs on my 92 4x4 ranger, so, does the 2wd for springs from 86-96 fit right on my ranger. Are they exactly the same so i could just replace the side that is broke. I know where a lot of full size parts are but no ranger leafs. If they bolt right up, I'll use them. I would probably have to do both sides, if the lift is different. Thanks.

I have a set of f150 2wd leafs im about to put on my bronco 2. however i plan on using the bronco 2 main leaf with the rest of the f150 leaf pack and maybe a few other from the bronco pack. I will post up how it goes for me.
