anyone know if the stock ranger springs bolt up to the 8.8 spring perches from an explorer? im trying to go spring under with it.

I don't know if they will fit width wise, but I know they will drip the truck a bit since Ex's are spring under and Rangers are springs over. If you want your original ride height, you need to to weld some perches to the top of the axle.

thats what i want to know if they fit width wise. spring under gives lower center of gravity meaning i can go faster around turns. and i like going faster plus mor bump travel

nope they are not the same width..

and you wouldnt have more bump travel,be dam near on the bumps.unless you got something like the giant 64 kit

If you are lowering the truck. It will work just fine, it is pretty common among the street scene. The only thing that you might have to do it flip the bolt that goes through the leaf spring. The head of that bolt goes through the hole in the middle of the spring perch to center the leafs. That should be the only thing that may hinder it bolting up other than maybe some driveshaft and parking brake stuff (depending on the year of the ranger.)

Someone here does have an Explorer axle in their Ranger SUA, IIRC, he said it bolted in. I can't recall who it was though, or if he had to mess with the pinion angle (IIRC it was a green 3rd gen, pic was with the bed off).

The spring perches look to be the right width to me (I had to move them out 1" each side when I relocated them for my BII, and I know the BII's spacing is about that much wider than a Ranger's).
