Leaf spring mounts

Recently when I replaced one of my crushed shackles I had a closer look at the mounts and springs with the bed off the truck.

I discovered that the mounts are on their way out not yet dead but the thickness of the mount looks to be about half what it should be. salt and winter is harsh !

I am having difficulty finding a local shop that sells this stuff. Anyone happen to know where I can find a shop around say Ottawa, Carlton place, Almonte, Arnprior or Stittsville?

And No I'm not buying it from the stealership.

They actually are not that expensive from Ford....

Yeah, i just did the mounts on a 93 tonight and the cheapest place i could find was the dealership. local parts store at Staff discount wanted 62 a side for the rear spring mount, local suspension shop wanted 70 and the dealership was 55. If you aren't in a rush check out Rock Auto.com i found some for my 93 for 15 a side plus 30 to ship so that would be a good place for you to look.

i found the whole set, front mounts, rear mounts, shackles with bushings, and nice hardware, for $200 shipped from ats.com anyway, to those that have changed these out, how did you go about doing the driver side with the gas tank right there....

Calling them won't cost you anything. They are cheap form the dealership.

Hows that kit from ats.com working for you and how long have you had it? I'm looking at the same kit for one of my trucks.

you know i just got it last week, put the whole right side on last week and did the rear mount and shackle on the left side yesterday!

its a nice kit, good hardware, looks like they powder coated the mounts, the shackles already have the bushing pressed in too. On the rear mounts i had to open the holes a bit for the bolts to fit through, the paint/powder coating was really thick. Installation went great, it was time consuming to get the damn rivets out but everything lines up.

the only problem i encountered was the rear leaf bushings, no one has them in stock, they are different from the front bushings.
