i was toying with the idea of sas for my 89 and i was wondering what leafs would be a good choice. i dont like the idea of using chevy leafs cause i hate everything gm. my intentions for this is for a trail capable rig that is good in the mud.

i used 4" lift springs for an explorer. They have plenty of lift and good articulation too. :icon_thumby:

Whats wrong with using parts "intended" for a GM? They aren't GM parts.
I have SkyJacker rear springs and DIY4X4 shackles, not a GM rear suspension.

That's like saying you won't run any Super Swamper tire, cause you've seen em on a lot of GMs...

use chevy springs...:icon_thumby:

i am going for leafs in the front of my ranger for a sas and i want to know more or less what spring y'all are runnin, what kind of flex you get and how stable on the road it is? i dont like chevy at all and i dont want to grab anything off of a gm for personal reasons. if ihave to in order to get the hadling i desire then so be it. so for right now what are ya runnin on yours so i can get an idea as to what im in for
