Leaf or Coil SAS

Jeep axles................sounds like D30 stuff.............

with jeep axles wont I have to combine drive shafts for yolks. Theres a pull-a-part about 30 minutes away from me and they have several early f100 and f150. Theres strait axles on those if im not mistaken.

Yea, ive started adding up cost for the coil over and its well over leafs. As far as axles go are all the d44's drum?

the only real expense in the coil SAS is the coils. If you can find a whole truck and get all brackets and axle: Coil buckets, shock mounts, track bar mount, radius arms, coil seats, radius arm brackets you should be set. Either way your going to have to rebuild the axle so that will cost about the same on any axle you use. You don't need to use heims or johnny joints on your rad arms the stock setup will work just fine. Get a set of the 7* C-Bushings from energy suspensions and you can use stock radius arm brackets and still retain good angles. Coils also have just as many mounting points as the leaf spring setup. leafs have 4 points 2 for each spring as well as coils: The buckets and the rad arms only 4 points. With a bare frame it only took me a about 2 hours to setup my front axle under my chassis.

Well i just pulled my whole 2wd front end off and right when i was about to quit the truck rolled off the jack stands and on to my leg. Off to a good start

Yea I got out with a raw leg and bum knee, a sacrifice ill have to make. When you say rebuild the axle do you mean shorten? Because I might leave whatever I get full width, as long as it dosent look stupid.

No I mean rebuild it as in new seals, u-joints, bearings, ect..... glad to hear your all good. lol Hell of a sacrifice for a ranger! Now thats love!

Does your truck have a working e-brake? If not put blocks in in front of and behind the rear tires!!!!!! Your lucky to still have your leg.

Dont forget pictures.

I have the back tires chalked and ebrake. I am lucky to have my leg, i saw it coming and barely got out

What complications would there be if I used the 7" bronco coils from bronco graveyard so I can take my body lift off. I dont mind a body lift but if I can be all suspension lift I would love that.
