Hey I was wondering If anyone knows what laws govern 4x4s in british columbia? I know
1) anymore than 10cm of lift and you are supposed to take it in for an inspection
2) bumper must be no more than 29.5" off ground
3) headlights must be no higher than 54"
does anyone know of anything else, such as laws governing mudflaps, fenders, extra lights....anything?
Thanks.

Being from Ontario , this province has some weird rules , first the bumper height can be more than 2 inches over stock , you can only have 4 white lights on at a time , the tires cant stick out more than 1 1/2 inches from the fender .
most people who do a major lift also do a bumper drop to keep it legal, for the tires they use wide fender flares to get the biggest and widest tire they can under the truck .
all you have to do is do a highway traffic act search for BC , you should find all the info you need for what you want to do
Just remember that ignorance of the law wont get you out of a ticket .

lol...nobody ever follows those rules in Northern Ontario. Hell, we don't even have emissions testing to worry about.

Northern Ontario,
Lift it as high as you want
put enough lights on to reproduce the light of day if you want.
bumper? what bumper?

The only thing they'll nail ya for here is the tires sticking out too far...but I'm almost positive that the law says 2" past the fender.

I agree with you about northern Ontario , I live in petawawa , the guys and gals with their trucks push the limits too , and we dont have emission testing either
