laser third brake light

Any one know if these are legal? I can't seem to find anything in the Ohio code about these. We get a lot of dense fog where I live and these are pretty neat and cheap. I just cant find any information on these. the Ohio code has changed a lot and is not as detailed as what it used to be. If anyone knows then tell me. I'd even like to know in other states if these are legal. I'm not putting one on if that's what everyone is wondering. I just like knowing things.

Never heard of such a thing.

Given a laser's narrow field of focus and eye damage potential I highly doubt they would be legal. Certainly would not be legal around an airport.

That may be. I shudder at the though of lasers in third brake lights.

On the other hand, in Europe, you can get cars with laser headlights. I know BMW sells them. I've seen demo videos and they are amazing. Our laws are still stuck in the early 20th century. So we can't have them.
