I'm totally changing my truck. Long term plans call for an Eaton blower. I want to get a bigger footprint in the rear without the "Tires too big for the fender look". I want to tuck them and not cut up the bed. I have an 8.8 w/ 3.55 gears. Since it's a Splash the factory rubber is P235/60r15's. I'm sure this has been discussed in the past but everything I've seen on previous posts deal with 4x4's. I'm putting Black Soft 8's 15x8's on.

Any help on proper back spacing and opinions on rear tire size would be appriciated!:dunno:

Guy in my town used to have a Ranger with 255/60-15's in the back, I thought they looked just right. .02.

I personally like tall and wide>>>

My Son & I both have 275/60R15's on 15X8" wheels....................

Son's 93:

He has the clearance for 15X10's, as he currently has a 7.5 posi out of a Bronco II................I have a 8.8 posi outta 98 Explorer.

My 94:

My next move is to put Explorer type rear suspension under it & some 15X12's w/29X15.50 Hoosier Pro Streets, all tucked in the wheelwell!:icon_surprised:

What backspacing did you use? I don't want the tires running outside the fender wells.

Thanks!!!

BOOST to an ol' thread>>>

One of my buddies had 33x12.50s on the back of his stock 2wd S-10 on stock rims. No trimming and minimal bumping. Anything is possible.
