Large size Wrenches for ac and Quick couplers

Becca here, jmcleek's kid. Maybe you know the some of the answers to my questions. I would like to know what sizes wrenches to get for ac units in vehicles of all types. I'm going to Ivy Tech to get my degree in Automotive Technology and am learning on all sorts of vehicles. I would also like to know what size wrenches to use for fan clutches and all the other sizes for the big nuts on the vehicles because I hear from my Dad that they are a little more universal than the stamped ones that are regularly used for fan cluches. One more thing, what kind of quick-couple tools can I get for the ac and heater units and other systems on vehicles that are more complete?

For A/C nut connectors I have a Snap-on ADH12 adjustable wrench. Haven't found any A/C fitting it doesn't fit yet.

For quick connect spring lock setups I use the plastic Lisle set that you can get at Sears. 6 years and they are still all good.

The best Fan nut set I have seen is the Lisle pneumatic one that hooks up to an air hammer. I have used them on everything from a 2.9 up to a 6.4.

As a side note I gave Becca my 12 inch adjusable cressent that once belonged to dad , who has been gone sense 78, I hope it gives her longe service as it did its former owners.

Those are the tools I was referring to. They have yet to let me down in almost 7 years of wrenching.

Those pliers look like a fancy way to spend $27.50 poorly. Just my $.02.


A 12" adjustable? You guys working on fire hydrants?
