I am looking to swap a D35 TTB into my 87 B2. Does an Explorer w/ D4 axle code or any RBV for that matter have L/S in rear and front, or rear only?

Yep, Ford never put L/S in a D35 front, though it was found on a rare occasion in D28 fronts on mid 1980 models.
A L/S unit from a Jeep rear D35 can be fitted into the Ford TTB front however.
