Kyle M's Ranger Rebuild

Kyle I have a gas tank, skid plate, straps, and the sender. Unknown condition of pump on the sender or what psi it is. But the sender itself looks good but I don't have the lock ring for it.

Sweet! I will have to run down and get it from ya, maybe this weekend. Thanks

you are in the military....you know what a 50 Cal. bullet can do at 2000 yards...

damn i miss Kentucky!!

Trim that bracket. On my 63's the bracket did two things..kept the springs lined up (good) but the bracket wrapped around and over the top of the leafs (bad for flex). When the spring droops on flex the brakcet holds the leafs together, does not allow the springs to seperate between each other. Decreasing flex. I noticed a big difference. Just trim the tabs that over lap the top spring, but not the side the sides so it still keeps them in line. Make any sense lol.

You can see on my Right Rear spring how the leafs are seperated. With that bracket unmodified it would hold the leafs together not allowing them to spread. I kept the overload to help in axle wrap, otherwise it probably would've got more.

Looks good. I cut the tabs off and went to flex it but the rear is still too stiff, just pushes the front around still. Any ideas on how to lighten up the rear springs?

LOL, how? I already added more oil so it would have more dampening...maybe change the valving??

I still think I need to change up the rear, maybe inboard them

A sway bar would make a huge difference. HUGE! I personally think you should just live with it for now and 4 link the rear in the spring. :icon_twisted:

Now that would be Awesome, 4 link the back and another set of Air Shocks.... :)

Well, we will see what the futer holds....

Picked up 5 TSL Bias 36"ers tonight, one brand new, 4 at about 50%, on rims....traded my old BFG MT's for them. They look bad ass, think I am gonna order a tire groover and have at em.

Also, picking up a exploder 8.8 tomorrow, good deal local to me and I didn't have to pull it!

Also, got some spacers for the front, still waiting on the adaptors for the rear, hope they come tomorrow.

And, got my Pacer Flexy Flares a couple days ago, gonna put em on tomorrow maybe...thanks Bray!

I will post pictures tomorrow.

Sounds like you had a busy week of buying goodies. <----Jealous! I am gonna be headed up to Big Rapids tomorrow to spend some time with friends, you gonna be in the garage all day? Mind if I stop by? I would love to see this thing.

I will be home after 2ish and I should be home all night...feel free to stop in! I have to work in the mornin, then go get that axle, then go get some tires dismounted....busy me!
