Kyle M's Ranger Rebuild

Yeah, a little, but not sure really. I can jam the brakes (front end dives a few inches)and the truck doesn't dart so I don't think there is much bump steer.

I was drving my truck and passed a buddy, he called me later and told me my truck looks like a desert truck because when i get on it the front lifts so much and the rear squats! It is fun to drive, gotta get some video of it. Hopin to go wheelin this weekend, gonna explore someplace either way....

Now all you need to do is save up and 4 link the back end, then you can really let the fun begin

That may be in the plans, just pretty pricey. I bet I would have close to 1K in parts alone!

I think I am going to inboard the rear leafs for now.

get some of the johnny joint bushings if you in inboard them...im getting offley tempted to do it..

Sold! Have you seen how those inboard springs flex? Like MAD, and with those joints relieving the bind.....I'm doin it, add it to the to do list.

then you just have to make the brackets to hold the bushing the the frame.....but really, less then 200 bones with shipping, get lift or loose lift blocks, add a shit ton more flex and a couple cool factor points....

yup, i already have the anti wrap brackets....

im almost tempted to try and use the johny joint in still a shackle reversal setup :D...i think i could make it work

Alright, added my 1.5* bushings, tracks better but still need a sway bar if I am gonna drive it much. Good enough to get me to the trails.....

Descion time....cut the fenders, yes or no??? I think I'm gonna do it. Basically remove the flare with the cut off wheel.

DO IT....i think it looks so much better...but i am kind of swayed.....

On my way....it looks too stock. I will post pictures when done!

man your truck looks like it be very fun you have a lot of flex to nice work keep up an post the progress being made

exactly that what i liked about it...too much stockness with factory flares :D

plus that would let you lower it more if need be

Well, after a couple of hours I have this...

I love it! Make it looks so much more....ummm, not stock? LOL

I also managed to put my CB in so I am all set to wheel. Now I just gotta go wheel it. No one wants to wheel and I don't wanna go alone on my shake down run. I might go explore a little tonight after my wife gets home from work to and I can turn in my kid watching duties for the day....

looks way better Kyle, suits the truck. Now get the truck painted back to the way it was....

Already on it, getting a line on paint and gonna spray the hood and fender before winter.

Dude that turned out really well, it makes me giddy to start on mine.....did I just say giddy?
