Kyle M's Ranger Rebuild

OK, so...

Bray --> Kyle --> Nathan --> Mike :icon_twisted:

Maybe Pato will wonder through this build and add to the list :D

LOL, tell that to the wife...I have been living out there for the last 3 months if you ask her! I have all day tomorrow, should be close to being finished, enough to drive anyway:headbang:

I bet man. I guess she deserves some of your time. I'm truly impressed with how quick this came together. You sir, are a madman. :icon_thumby:

haha, make the longest trickle-down chain ever!

I used the stock body mounts, I removed the body from frame for paint but thats it. I couldent use the stock ranger spring mount I was going to make one but I found one off an older dodge that fit, alot shorter and saved me a little time. Had to adjust my wheelbase back and inch or so, but Im sitting right at 115 now, but my front was moved forward 4-5 inches. I dont even remember, but I think the bed is 13 inches shorter....Hmm..

Mine is running a 60/sterling, would have been easier and free with a d44 but ive broken quite a few 44 shafts with 38's and 40s to even try it. Plus im running a 351w and I love the skinny petal....

Youve got some good ideals..... Im interested to see how the airshocks do upfront on the road and wheeling. I might use them on the rear when I 4 link that.

now get to work.

Made some progress today....

Then I drove it around the block, came back gave it a quick alignment, checked fluids and drove to the gas station...

Then on my way back it started breaking up bad and I couldn't go anywhere but home. Thinking it has something to do with the gas, stirred something up or something. It ran great until I put gas in it.....I will look into that. Otherwise :icon_thumby: it drove good and stopped good. Makes a lot of new noises, creeks and groans, but F it, it's a trail rig that might get DD when needed.

For sure! Felt good sitting behind the wheel again. Ordered a new fuel filter and some MAF air cleaner, should pick up some fuel dry too, hope that fixes it up!

Looks great man. Vids asap.

Looks great man I love it!

are you going to repaint it or keep the blue hood and fender?

I will paint it, but I still have some half doors to make and I wanna paint them to match. I think I am going with the same green.

Got my electrical issues figured out...stupid ford put 2 identical plugs that can be mixed up in the engine harness...if you mix them up the blinkers will run the starter, flip them around, all is good.

I'm happy, now I can do a shake down run this weekend!
