Kyle M's Ranger Rebuild

I also started on my wheels getting them drilled and tapped for the rings

I never saw a drill press like that one before. What model is it & specs, please-

Damn you're quick

Lol, your answer was better than mine though

It is a Carlton, radial arm drill press. The arm/head can rotate around the main beam in a 7' radius, 360* and drill holes anywhere in between. I have drilled holes as large as 3" and as small as 1/8", maybe smaller in that particular machine. What else would you like to know about it

Sweet !! Thanks for the info. I have used only upright drill presses & vertical milling machines-

Man that brings back some memories, I kinda miss playing machinist

And I'll be watching to see how well those hold up as I'm strongly considering going back to the H2's and ditching the H1's I have.

Thats what his wife told him too....:thefinger:

Then after that I rebuilt my front hubs(sand blasted them, new bearings, seals, rotors and gonna have to buy new studs too) slid the 60 under the ranger and bolted the arms on. Today I plan on welding the wedges on and start positioning the axle for the track bar.

looks sweet. with acess to all that equipment i dont know why you dont just make your own beadlock's, obviously a little harder now with the AL rims

I guess I have more money than time lol. I like making stuff, but sometimes it is just easier and more time effective to just buy it made.

^^time is valuable^^ and that is a big reasone why ruffstuff, ballistic and such are still in buisness. (altho ballistic will never get another dollar from me)

Another update, got the 60 in, just waiting on finish welding the track bar mount till after I set the motor in , which I started on that today too.

Here it is setting on the bumps( they need work too)
