If I had the money, my woman wouldn't care.

All is good, I just need to find somthing with more road manners and able to haul building materials/ wheeler / sled up to camp. and hauling a trailer everywhere behind this thing SUCKS!!!!
I would love to sell this and pick up a 10th gen f-150 to set up for overland stuff then bulild a tracker to keep up at camp to wheel around with. The majority of my wheeling trips take place to the north which is where my camp is. On the time's we wheel around home or to any other direction it is only a 30 mile drive to camp, but half that is rough gravel roads

If there is enough intrest I may even start a build thread on here for whatever I buy

Why the 10th gen?
Just curious

The 9th gen around here are typically falling apart and the 1th are pulling in a lot more money. flame me now but i would even get a 5th gen chevy 1500 for the same "EXCUSE"
but It will be great for getting out to camp and backwoods camping with the family

Cati, my gf, got her 04 f150 for $9k from a dealer. It's 2wd tho.

we found a 4wd later for $11k, she doesn't need 4wd and I don't want more parts to service lol.

Plus we don't get rusty vehicles.. I have a rust free 88 B2 lol

I would feel bad cutting into the boxside on a 11k$ vehicle hint. hint.

Sold her. Hopefully the new owner will check in here. He plans to fix the odds and ends and keep her on the trail. If you ask nicely maybe he will even keep updated on here

Glad it went to a good guy

Well, let me introduce myself as the new owner of Kevin's Explorer. Drove it home without much issue besides a wicked vibration from the rear end haha. Got it into the shop, and found out that the gears are about half worn and there is a bunch of metal debris floating around the rear end. Gonna have a shop out of Caspian, MI build a new rear end with the same 5.13 gear ratio and gonna go with a full spool, so that should hopefully be done in a week or so and be shipped and ready to throw back in. Only other issue is the slave cylinder is shot so thats going to be getting fixed as well and gonna go from there

Welcome. Glad to see you keeping us all updated on the explorer.

let me do some digging. that slave was new for carquest and has a lifetime warranty I will see if i can dig up the reciept. On another note, not sure if you still wanted these doors, and I also found that the trac-bar heim's were left here as well. So if you would like I will hold onto all of it until you get this way or until I can get that way.

I will have my wife dig into my reciepts but it look's like the slave was replaced around 02-19-12 not sure if is saved that far back, should be as If typically had her save all the reciepts of parts that have a lifetime warranty. otherwise she would toss them after a year.
