Kroussin 93 Explorer build

I have learned in the past couple weeks how frustrating audio is to do properly...

I know what you mean! I used to do audio comps back when I was in high school and into the ricer thing (thank the Lord I grew outta that...) and it always drives me nuts when I get in someones car and hear something off. I usually talk them into letting me change it, and they'll tell me how much better it sounds, and then next time I hear it they've changed it again so they could make it "louder". :annoyed:

And merry Christmas to you too man! :icon_cheers:

"system" is in. Sounds just how I want it to. Screams and hits the lows. a little late for pics tonight and the interior still needs to be put back together and going to run 4ga to the amp. Ran 6ga right now just to get a exact length and decided to hook it up just to see what it souns like. Box is kinda funny and I dont really expect it to last that long so I wraped it with a camp blanket with a navajo pattern on it. if the box holds up i'll scrape the blanket off and wrap it in proper material.

Think most people that check out the build know me elsewhere as well. but anyways here ya go. some play some completed stuff

Relocated my switches since I eliminated the center console

Diggin it! Why did you take out all the electronics and center console? (Just wondering)

That's weird, I don't think I've seen that print on any other mirrors... What package did those mirrors come with?

haha. buddy got a little out of hand with the label maker.

didnt care for the center counsole cut it was a catch all that failed to keep everyting in place. so keys, lighter, wallet, cigs, phone would all get cramed in the cut holders and bounce out on the trail, when the said items did make it into the inside of the console was when the cup holders were being utilized and then I had top deal with the interferance of anything in the cup holder and the shifter Unless it was a 12 oz can and wheelin with cans of anything is out of the question since it would slosh out and would end up with dried soda in the cup holders ICK. so The cure is mount a universal tray on the floor with 2 cup holders and a tall tupperware rivited to the back tray. keeps everyitng in place and 20oz and 1 liters stay in the holders better as well. kept the armrest, drilled and bolted my fire putter outter to the aluminum bracket after the bracket was sanded and sprayed black

as far as electronics are you refering to the switches in the console. or the reasone for removing so much wiring and door locks and such?

I really dont care for power door's or windows. I had eliminated the rear power windows shortly after I bought it due to a finicky motor. eliminated the power door locks since the passanger door lock refuses to work anyways. Hopefully will convert the front doors to manual windows withing the next year and eliminate even more wiring and eliminate the power mirror's (which i actually do like), eliminated the factory amp A long time ago. and as far as the dome light door switch's for the rear doors I really dont need them since I can typically reach the swich or I have mag lights mounted next the the front seats that are very acessable from the rear doors. the less wires in the rear to happier I am. Also eliminated the 4x4 computer since it Is much easier to eliminate than relocate and I really dont anticipate going back to an E case. even when my manual case fails I will either finish up my contraption for an E case or purchase(make) a shifster

Also eliminated the rear heat duct that went under the center console even tho when people rode back there they typically like it. OH WELL.
