Koty's 91 Ranger Build Thread

Stopped at an off road dealer on my out of town work route. Just happened to have a piece I recently noticed was going out!

There's supposed to be bushings in the trac bar?! Hardly looks like it! Definitely handles alittle better now.

Still alittle wobbly, but gonna balance my tires, adjust the camber, and drill the shock mounts to fit a bigger bolt for the little bit of play in my shock bushings

You might with the coils. The only thing that holds my axle in place are the leaf springs lol.

I've seen leaves need a track bar.

Yeah I've seen a trac bar on a leaf sprung build one or maybe two times

Tried 4wd today. Big no go. Clunking and grabbing. Thought it was my d44 ring and pinion but luckily I've got it mostly tore down and not sure yet but it seems to be just my pinion bearing . Doesn't help my gear oil had thickened to almost a paste. (Oops lol) but tomorrow's daylight will tell for sure

A day in the life...
not!

Just waiting on the parts store to get my pinion bearing in

Anybody ever heard of "equal"? A powder you put in off road and tractor tires that are harder to balance. My buddies dad who has a tire shop was telling me that would be my best and cheapest bet to balance mine

Also planning on pulling out my nasty carpet and get it ready for bedliner soon

yup its awsome. im gonna be buying it soon if i get the xmls i want :-)

Awesome! Glad to hear from experience! Gotta press on the pinion bearing and get the front end back together to test the balance out

And as far as the beads, they didn't want to balance at first but once I had drove about 15 miles they seemedto get better
