Koty's 91 Ranger Build Thread

Idk I'm thinking probably 14 or so with my gearing and right foot. I can't calculate though since my gearing and tire size have been changed

It'll probably be less with a heavy foot. I'm basing this estimate on 16-18 average with this complete driveline in the heavier Explorer, so 20 or better might be possible with substantially less weight in the Ranger. My son gets 38-39 in my 2003 Neon... So he can be frugal on the skinny pedal.

This is one of 2 connectors, they are on the drivers fenderwell and go through the frame, one is black with 8 wires and the other is gray with 5 wires. They come together and follow the frame with pigtails that run off to my speedo wire, fuel pump then back to my lights. I just plugged everything in and all seems to work other than reverse lights which is bc my engine harness is for an auto

sweet tie rod lol its really gettin time for new tires eh?

LOL yeah I know thar happened the night I broke it. Also I'm talking with this Guy that rock crawls and he has some decent hookups it seems. But front are half tread and rear is around 3/4

Its driving good (only on my rd so far) other than once it shut off and the ignition wasn't turning the truck on, no fuel pump or anything, just my gauges. And sometimes its a few second delay in it

that thing has got some power i tell you what! compared to the dying 2.3 its a world of difference. i was kinda showing off to a few friends that came over and i spun the tires through second gear taking off. then i hit it on a sticky part of the road, and she had her first ever case of axle wrap lol. but im still just piddling with it, been busy from vacation and other stuff, if i find the idle issue today i might take it out on the actual road this evening.

Gonna park it for a week or so til get the sploder ready to sell. The. Passenger ball joints have gotten bad and phone bills are coming up along with the rent so gotta wait for that money to cover new ball joints. Its doing fairly good other than small kinks to work with which I expected anyway

Awesome, man. Glad to see it coming back together so well. Can't wait to see it "completed" hehe.

Got er tore down for balljoints now. Gonna change oil again too since it sat for a while before to clean it out. Also gonna try to see if the Lucas transmission treatment helps with the gear slack. Need to double check my axles too for slack

Bought a set of 35x14.5 Mickey Thompson Baja belted tires and wheels to run on the street. They're only about 1/8 tread but for $75, you can't beat a full set of tires and wheels to save my tread on the 33s. Plus the 35s will look better on it

I need to find a good deal on some street tires for my truck, I hate how im driving on my mud tires.

With alittle love (and hopefully some grooving soon) they'll be some decent tires.
