Well got my coil relocation pads braced and rewelded and moved them in. No more bowed coils! Did raised my front about an inch though. Gotta decide exactly how I wanna address that now. Some progress though
yeah they are basically a relocation lower pad. they were burnt in with a 110 mig when i did the sas, but i didnt trust the welds under the trucks weight and stress, untill i was able to have it braced, gussetted, and all redone with a bigger welder. ill have some pics tonight.
the f250 shock mount? hmm nah i didnt have any problem. i didnt really measure anything either, just eyeballed it to where it looks right. i do have a body lift in my truck though (i know bleh. leaving it in long enough to make ease of whatever engine swap i end up doing.) anyway that could be the difference on mine and yours.
Pressure plate collapsed tonight wheeling and I refuse to put a clutch in with this turd engine
still haven't found a 302 but I do have the explorer with 200k miles but it has to run better than mine. So guess I'm gonna find a manual transmission and I reckon ill put that in. Anybody done an engine swap? I'm only afraid of all the wiring...
I have a used clutch setup for a 2.3 in my garage just sitting, pressure plate, friction disk assembly. Came off an 83 TK4 trans (external clutch) but the engine it was last behind that was on my TK was out of an 87 (which was internal) but I assume they are the same up to the later years. Worked fine before it was taken out 2 years ago. Has been sitting in a cabinet since then out of harms way. If interested shoot me a PM.
