Just bought 2001 Edge with 84k on it. 2wd, 3.0 w/ manny tranny. Still figuring out what shortcuts the son-in-law of previous owner (deceased) took. He installed brand new cruise switches on the steering wheel, guess just as an appearance item to help sell, cruise don't work. Not a big deal, except "speed control" light on the dash flashes about once every 5 minutes. I was surprised this little guy has 235's from the factory, didn't know anything about the Edge pkg., but I like the way it sits. Fires right up, idles all day long, but has some dead spots on acceleration, surges a little when attempting to maintain constant speed. It definitely looks like an 85k truck that was stored in a garage it's whole life. A few chips and scratches, to be expected...... but NO LEAKS..... NO oil or grease residue on undercarriage, the manual tranny looks like it came off the line yesterday. Dunno what the hood is made out of, but it ain't steel........ sure looks cool, though.
