I have a 94 ext with a 4.0. Stock all the way around. I want to put 4" on it and use 30 or 31's.

I've been looking at a bunch of kits... BDS and Tuff Country seem to be the most complete kits. Not looking to spend more than $1,500 on the kit, but I want to do this right.

Anyone know if Tuff's rear blocks are come cut to angle the axle? BDS advertises this.

Is there anything I should know about these brands? I know they do use axle pivot drop brackets, which can poke a hole in your diff when maxing out if the bump stop isn't set right.

tuff country kits don't include coil springs usually..

skyjacker or james duff... if you got the money and just have to have a box kit.

use the search button.. you'll find LOTS of info on lift kits on here.

True that! And there's diy options if youre handy with tools. :icon_welder: Like 2in sus lift for a under a 100 bucks. Skyjacker and duff kits seem to be the most popular though.

If you ar elooking to buy a kit it depends on the price range and options you wish to get.

I ran a SKyjacker Class 2 for a about 12 years on my 97 splash. In October I swapped it out for a James Duff Stage 3. My Skyjacker was a 6" kit and the James Duff is a 5.5" but the truck looks to set at the same height. Personally I like the construction of the James Duff kit better but I am in no way saying Skyjacker makes a bad kit.

Price wise the James Duff kit will most likely cost you a little more.

The DIY option is there and can be done for far less then a boxed kit.
