I'd just like to know if anyone knows what the difference between a Ranger 4x4, and a FX4?

yeah, all FX4's are 4x4 Rangers's, but not all 4x4 Ranger's are FX4's... the FX4 is the premium options package, fancy rims, skid plates, aftermarket shocks, leather bucket seats, all the bells and whistles. Check out Fords website
