kill switch mandate in future vehicles article

It seems to have been forgotten that the constitution explains what the government can not do, not what the people can not do. The "build back better" bill (not my description of the it) includes $200,000,000 for a golf course and park in Pelosi's district and allows rich people in big spending, high tax states like Pelosi's California and Schumer's New York to deduct up to $80,000 in state and local taxes from their federal taxes so the rest of us can pay their share. I have no idea how much property you have to own and how much income you must have to incur $80,000 of tax liability, I never earned $80k during my working life and my property taxes are around $6000- for a house on a dirt road, built on land that's been in the family since before the civil war. People who vote in liberal spending governments should be willing to pay for the costs they create. NH has no sales or income tax, Vt has both. I live about 10 miles from the border and the shopping plazas on the NH side of the Connecticut river are always full of cars wearing VT plates. They come here to avoid paying the sales taxes they voted into practice.

Nope, thank all those West Virginia coal miners that Hillary said she wanted to put out of work, they elected him.

Maybe we try to just to focus on the kill switch?

I haven't read any of it.

What is the reasoning they need to do this?

They have sensors in the cabin. If the car thinks you have been drinking it bricks itself.

Which to me I read it as there is a system whose sole purpose is to kill the car... to fail and kill the car for no reason.

Worked into it supposedly is a remote kill so they can brick your car when you rob a bank or whatever the majority of people do to irritate law enforcement on a regular basis.

Yay all of us that don't drink/rob banks and gets to pay for this crap.

"That ball" is a difficult one to hold on to due to the fact that morality isn't a universally agreed upon thing. Morals are largely subjective.

Such as... personally... I think any and all politicians who voted for this bill that allows the government to keep tabs on everyone's driving habits and shut down their vehicle whenever they see fit should be publicly executed for being a tyrant. I think that would be the moral thing to do.

Lots of people would disagree though.. and label me a monster.
I 100 percent agree.

Anybody that is not raising hell and calling it out has zero respect for our constitution and what it has done for the world .
We have been subdued.

Well the fact that many cars can lock you in and kill you now... potentially...

There are grounds for run away cars.

Just like self shooting guns. We have armies of those now too. They are called robots....just like self driving cars ....

Who knows what the fawk can happen.

I do want a self driving car

For driving my drunk ass home ....

And I want a real car...and it isn't anybodies fucking business as to why

They will be taking your cars and your guns and running you into the ground if this don't stop now.

True, we have a charger in the shop right now that won't run. The module for the electric power steering crashes the network. Not serviced seperatly from the $2500 steering rack.

My brother had a Taurus with a water filled cracked headlight do the same thing.

It apparently doesn't take much in the right places to disable a car.

Which is why adding a system actually designed to do it sticks in my craw.

I'm sure the auto manufactures didn't try to push any of this...

I read an article that the electronic 'features' on newer cars make up about 40% of the cost.

I have been pondering selling off my '85 and focusing on other projects...now I feel like having a carbureted truck might not be such a bad idea.

Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety... sad state of affairs we are in right now.

Let's see ya lojack this
