Okay not an RBV but......I've got an '01 Lumina with keyless entry...I recently put a stereo system in and didnt have the extended terminal for the side post battery so i just used a crimp on eyelet(the circle connector).....well the next day it rained....battery terminal corroded so i went to advanced and bought the extender and hooked the amp up correctly with die-electric protectant spray and everything, ever since my factory keyless entry will not work??? when installing the stereo I noticed a couple little switches coming off of the factory harness right near the steering column....one was an actual switch that said on/off(SPST???) and the other was a button to press...neither were attached to anything both just dangling from wires coming from the harness all taped up....so i thought maybe i hit one of the switches reinstalling the lower panel but when i checked the one switch was still on and pressing the other did nothing...neither of the switches effect the engine that i can tell i played with them while the engine was on and got nothing nor did the keyless entry work. I'm stumped....HELP

By the way I know NOTHING about keyless entry, but have installed quite a few amps and i in no way disturbed any other electrical system on the car. Does the entry system need re-programmed after disconecting the battery?? The Haynes doesn't even mention keyless entry anywhere.

Figured it out....factory radio was a "theftlock" and the keyless entry is part of this system and needs to be re-programmed to work with the aftermarket head unit.
