I was looking at strobe lights today at Pepboys. I am going to install some strobe lights in my rear window for emergencies only - I am thinking orange and maybe even white facing forward behind the grille. Just for emergencies. Does anyone know of any laws effecting this in Kentucky?

Now, I do not know the laws, but I would use amber for both the front and the rear, and way (with the white lights) you cannot be confused for law enforcement... amber warning lights are known all over for being utility vehicles/tow vehicles/etc...

What types of emergencies are you thinking of? A simple orange beacon could suffice...

You're right - I should use amber for the front as well now that I think about it. As for emergencies, I often find myself towing, and I like to pull over to check the security of my load every now and then. A rotating amber light would do this, but strobes are far better and out of sight - plus, if you come across road works you can also slip off road whilst looking like construction!! Haha!!

Clear and amber's are legal for use. Not while driving down the highway just for fun, but legitimate usage is legal under Kentucky law. Towing, stranded motorist, etc...
