Kentucky & Arkansas weather/flooding

I need some intel from those of you in south eastern KY and western AR: how's the weather, how's the flooding situation?

Myself and a group from Texas have been planning an overland style trip in the Daniel Boone National Forest. The plan was to spend the week of April 21st there but we are pretty concerned about the flooding and impassable or washed out roads.

As a backup plan, we are considering western Arkansas. It looks like it is pretty wet there in some places too though.

By April 21st, the water level should be down provided no more monsoon rains... got family in KY and the Ohio River and Kentucky River are both the highest they have been in decades. so hopefully it will stop raining and go down a bit.

The KAT Facebook group mentioned a boat being useful for running segment one of the Kentucky Adventure Trail...

Yeah the KAT was where we were planning to go. Sounded like a lot of the more serious flooding was north of there but not by much.

Main thing we didn't want to do was try and run trails that are a swamp. None of us want to spend a week in waders winching through a mess that we should have just avoided.

Tentative plan is to go somewhere in western Arkansas instead.
