Before I installed the k&n i was getting 18.5 mpg after installation i am getting 18.5 mpg.i like to think i`ve gotten a little more hp.did get a cool sticker for back window.never have to buy air filter again.thats cool.

there kinda nice when you put a body lift on, no need to do anything. turned mine up a little to keep the water out and put a cover on it so it repels waters when I hit deep water, Well shit I only thought it was 1/2 foot deep LOL

20k miles on the 2000 4.0 Ranger, K&N factory replacement filter, no problems AT ALL. 1982 Yamaha Seca, 13k miles with a K&N filter, NO PROBLEMS AT ALL either. Just dont over oil the filters and you'll be ok

That sticker is worth like 20 hp :icon_rofl:

well first off, ALL newer rangers are considered to have "cold air intakes" as they pull air from outside the engine bay where the air is cooler. If you really want you can just buy the k&n non-disposable air filter. Every 5k or so miles you take it off, clean it, and re-oil it. put it back in and there you go. Never buy another air filter again.

I got tired of cleaning and re-oiling mine so i went and got an AEM and its good so far. Was getting 18 MPGs with the K&N and the AEM am getting 19MPGs 21 if am good
