I went mudding with a buddy on sunday and we both thought it would be a good idea to "rinse" off our trucks by driving through the edge of a lake. LOL. well needless to say his lifted ranger did fine and my stock 93 on 31's sucked up a bit of water.
I had completely forgotten about the stock placement of the intake on my truck and I sucked up a bunch of water. I still need to get it home before I fully diagnose whether or not the engine is saveable but until then thought I would ask for some advice ahead of time.
Lets assume the engine is hydrolocked, what years of rangers/explorers would be easiest to swap? without having to do much or any wiring? I understand from doing some research on the forums here that the 97+ engines come with the newer computer OBDII.
I did some researching but couldnt find anything that directly referred to my issue.
