Well, i finally got my 302 started tonight, it was funny though i couldnt figure out why it wouldn't stay running, then i remembered that there was only 3 gallons of fuel in it, so it porbably wasn't getting fuel, lol fixed that and threw 7 more gallons at it, started right up. With the straight headers it sounded awesome, i was really close to having to change my pants
, lol
but i have two questions,
one i'm pretty sure that the electric choke isn't working, as when it was running, the engine was cold and the choke was loose, i could rotate it without any resistance, and there was power going to it and it had a good ground. Is it bad?
two once the engine is reved it drops back down in rpms and wants to cut out, but if i just start it up and don't rev it, it'll stay running, what could be the prob?
it has a holley 4160 or 4150 which ever one has only 1 metering plate.
thanks,
Jon
