Just reinstalled transmission now no start

I have a 1999 ford ranger Xlt 4x4 just got done putting in the transmission (Auto 5r55e) went to go start it up and nothing, no cranking nothing its like when you have it in drive and try to start it( but its in park), I can hear a relay click and engine parts buzz and thats about it, i checked all my wiring clips and eveything is plugged in nice. what could this be?

sounds like a shift location sensor is telling the motor its not in park. try shifting it to neutral and starting it.

I went down and put it in park by hand, still no start but thats what came to my mind to.

yes, try each gear. R, N, D, 1, 2. see which one it starts in. my guess is R.

aaahhh im a dumb A** had the lever going the wrong way. thanks for your help!

so it was in first? lol glad its working now.
