Yesterday I swapped out the 60/40 from my 97 reg cab for one out of a 98 extended cab. (I know, I know, sorry no pictures)
For anyone else wanting to do this I thought I would post up what I had to do.
The seat tracks do need to be swapped ( not even close to lining up the back 2 mounting holes on the floor) The tracks from the old seats will not bolt into the same holes from the 98 tracks. The seat bases to have 3 sets of bosses in them tho for bolts (2 sets are not threaded yet, but the factory bolts are self threading)
You simply need to use the next set of holes back from the factory ones, and everything bolts on and lines up. The only other thing I did was cut the little metal tab off of the 98 tracks that holds the plastic trim onto the side of the seat tracks and tack weld it onto the 97 tracks so it covered everything up and looks a bit cleaner. Not necessary, but it looks nice.
The seats are way more comfortable, and are good for me (as I'm 5'6") as you do sit higher up in them (might not be great for someone tall with long legs)
I will grab a shot of the finished product later on tonight.
