Just Plain Stupied

I've tried using duck tape but it won't stick to rust.

:icon_rofl:

Duct tape only sticks to rust if you put 3 wraps around the part......

EDIT: Thursday----I changed out the bad vacuum switch that operates the lock-up on the torque converter...now the trans. will downshift instead of staying in overdrive when passing folks/entering the Interstate...

:yahoo:

You talking about Zatarans sprinkle-on seasoning.....it's gooood---but you can only do so much with it ((once you taste Loo-z-anna cooking.... you taste buds is addicted for the rest of you life)

.or are you talkin bout zatarans packets of seasoned rice that you throw in a pot with some chicken/sausage/pork and you cook everything together until the smell makes your stomach growl like a alligator?

As for da riva meltin up there.....I better get my piroque out the shed in case i got to park my truk up the road for high water....it usually takes to June before we get the water at the top of the levees down here.....then some New Orleans people move up-the-road for a week to stay with relatives.

Noo this stuff comes in the freezer lane in the store, you toss in in teh magic heating box a few mins then peel off the plastic and chow down.:headbang:

Its decent for something you irradiate.

Man.........sorry to hear that 86...........we both belong to a group that neither one of us wants to be in......hang in there 86.....

Send me a P.M. if you ever feel like talking.

Thanks DG and this build inspired me to start a project of my own on my ranger

That sounds great.....I nearly didn't start this project....it took a year for me to get out of the house....

just take it slow one day at a time on the project & take pics as you start it.

You should make a video. :D

Ignition switch just wore out.........I stopped at a traffic light and everything/engine/gauges shut off....

It seems that there is only a very short area in the switch that will still make contact when the switch is in RUN position...

just barely wiggling the key(screwdriver :icon_bounceblue: ) will shut the truck down....

New switch/$16.20 will solve the problem!

That reminds of when you buy the cheap headphones and one of them goes out and you have to get it into the perfect position for it to work.

Screwdriver key is worth 5 bonus points for style.

M.W.> I'm outta town now....but theres an autozone about 2 blocks away...

I'll go there this morning and pick up a switch/wiring pigtail......the wires need to be a little longer so I can hide the switch under the das & connect the throttle knob to it.

Well..............the new switch & pigtail is spliced in.....workks great.....

but the VA meds are fighting me (wittle bwain can't think) on installing the throttle(engine start) knob because of the "dog-leg" shape of the rod which is needed to go around the left side of the A/C box and two dash braces.....

(key switches are too simple....anybody can do one of them ;missingteeth; )

EDIT:
Finally got the Pull-switch permenantly installed in a different location and it works great....pocket-screwdriver is retired!
