 what about me?

i wanna use the bed mounted machine gun

I would be tempted to color some Ford badges for it. At first I thought to blend in to the paint, but the more I thought about it, the more I think that the opposite of the current ones (white background, blue ford) would look old and cool on that.

How would you go about doing the "FORD"? I know how to do the actual background. I wanna do a black background and white lettering on my ranger that has black rims and is white.

Edit-I want white backround and black lettering, lol If I wanted it the above style my "ford" would already be done for me

I read up on the M42.......it fires 3X's faster than the U.S. M60.......

From experience......the only draw-back is.......you use all the ammunition that you can carry in 1 minute......2 minutes if you really stretch it out!!!!

So......what do you do for the next 23 hours 58 minutes until you hopefully get resupplied?????????????????????

War.......why does it have to be so complicated......like in Nam.....we were only given 3000 rounds per gunner.....if we r-e-a-l-l-y stretched the ammo out (didn't return fire unless they were close enough to throw one of their goofy looking grenades at us)....we still ran out by noon.....that left another 6-8 hours pointing my M60 out of the helicopter ACTING like I had ammunition.......trying to fool enemy soldiers into keeping their heads down.....ahhhhhhhhhh....isn't it great when CONGRESS rations ammunition because they're CUTTING BACK on cost over-runs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:pissedoff:

Next trip to the junkyard i want to see this truck. What part of new orleans are you in?
the part that doesn't go underwater.....let me get it inspected & we'll meet at the French Quarter.....get a couple dozen benyays (beignets)/some coffee.......sit on the tailgate & discuss our next project......

I pulled a fast one......since the engine/spark plugs are so easy to get to.......I attached the side panels of the hood(s) to the truk.....I only raise up the hood tops to check the engine.......this keeps the side panels from rubbing the paint off the inner part of the fenders when closing the folding hoods (no matter how careful you are,,,,,the fenders always get a few nicks over the years when closing a double hinged hood on either side of the truck)

There used to be several places you could buy them, although I don't believe I have seen them in about 10 years. Which method were you going to use?

Since it may not be proper to link another forum, this is an older link I still have that is valid: fordf150.net/howto/customemblems.php. (have to cut and paste)
Once the clearcoat is off, scratch up the chrome and use a fine brush to paint it. After drying, use the epoxy to replace the clearcoat.

Yep......the enemy soldiers caught on fast......if we didn't come down on them blazing away.......they knew we were out of ammunition......but they wouldn't shoot at us......................................they would kill the women & children that we were supposed to rescue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes.....I would get so mad that I would throw quarts of engine & transmission oil at them........then they laughed at us........thanks for the memories CONGRESSMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

enough ranting.....

yeah nothing like congress to pull that eh? oh hows progress on the 36

Yes, put the quarts of engine and transmission fluid down and play nice! :icon_twisted:
