Man!!!!!! You got a memory like 16 elephants!!!!!!!!!!!

I passed by that house today....the power-boat-less-engine is still sitting in the same spot....it's been nearly a year since i first talked to the owner....if it wouldn't be such a hassle to get the paperwork straightened out (two different owners in two different states who didn't transfer the boat into their names when they bought it---I'da already bought it!!!!)

In Loo-z-anna, that's about the only thing they can make money on....paperwork/registering/re-registering/fees/back-fees/etc.

But anyhow....I really wanna swap the diff. gears out & stick those cruising gears in the diff.....think I'll pick up some axle/pinion seals & bearings tomorrow....then reread the Tech info on doing the swap, since I forgot 20 years ago on how to do it.....

:icon_confused: DG, you ain't plannnin on droppin a 2.9 into a 10' Jon boat are you ? :icon_idea: (Lafitte Skiff :icon_thumby: )

I think you just made a perfect description of a canoe.

Pirogue and a canoe are two different animals. One cannot be mistaken for the other. :D Think of a flat bottomed (shallowly curved deeper from front to back) boat with gently flared, curved sides, pointed at each end. Most are made of plywood. Easy to row like a canoe, but alot more stable and able to carry heavier loads.

I dated a girl like that back in high school. Good times.
:icon_surprised:....I'm spit....errr...speechless!

Yea, the old growth Cypress did last. But most of the stuff being cut today lasts no longer than untreated pine. It's all young stuff (realitively speakin) If it's red tinged heartwood, it'll hold up. What's it with dogs and UPS trucks ? Every dog I've had hates their trucks.
