Just Plain Stupied

now i know why you didnt run the headers i told ya to run.

im not running headers on mine right now. ram hrom manifolds are free. and will work. but maybe ill get some cheap block huggers like yours and mod them down the road.

great job 'gunner

Goooood idea!!

Stash some cash.........

Headers would be a good rain-day-under-the -carport kinda job....

Tomorrow I'll try & move the steering column over to the left 1 inch so's I can use a 1 piece steering shaft from the end of the column to the rag-joint on the steering box (eliminating the coupler & 2nd universal joint)

Then the steering shaft won't get so hot causing the fluid to boil in the steering box......

I also will avoid having to use 2 universal joints to reconnect the steering box shaft to the column lower shaft........

I like the paint idea to plug the pin holes in the header...maybe I should try that on my rusty exhaust :icon_bounceblue:

does that mean you will have to move something else to the right:icon_rofl:

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahaa-weeze....

NO!

WAIT!!!!

YES!

How did u know??

I have to move the brake booster/column support over to the left 2 inches....then I has to move the brake pedal 2" to the right....

then I has to move the steering column firewall hole 1" up & to the left & move the column dash bracket 1/2" to the left...

then I gots to adjust the tilt mechanism on the column so that the steering wheel sits parallel with the dash & centered with the driver's seat...

I may...just may....... have to move the seat 1" to the left.....maybe....

Mathematically it works out as:

ought from ought is ought...
2 x's ought is double ought...

& if Congress would give *Each Taxpayer* $100,000 each, instead of giving $700,000,000....uhhh....,000...Congress would still have $300,000,000,000 left over......all the car manufacturers would be doing great cause we all would buy Rangers......everybody including N.Y.S.E would have a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year....

plus.....all the good for nothing banks that were gonna fail---WOULD fail....
while saving the nation over half of what has been spent to bail out a bunch of .........well.....you know...

but......I digress.......................:icon_bounceblue:

Update: the brake booster/brake pedal bracket is now moved left 2"......the brake pedal arm is modified so it sits 2" to the right where it needs to be....
Streetrod (82).JPG

the steering column needs moving to the left to line up with the steering box.....now to the hardware store for supplies to seal up the unused holes in the fire wall.....i

You can barely notice the the steering wheel is now off-center to the lefy...good news is it not is centered in the middle of the seat!

Now you can handle super awesome to beat that lady and her kids to that prize parking spot at the mall! :3gears:

Mall.........Mall?????......MALL?!

i'm not going to no stinking Mall!

Waaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahhaahhahaa:icon_rofl:

looks Great DG!!!! hows the inside look with the chages you made?

Mn_..........everything looks the same......brake pedal is relocated in OEM bracket to be same distance from gas pedal as OEM........steering column is almost directly in line with steering box spline shaft......steering wheel is 1" left of center but isn't noticeable when sitting in drivers seat....tilt column didn't have to be rotated left or right (like I thought it would) to get the steering wheel to be square with the dash.....only had to use 1 universal steering joint (instead of 3 joints w/bracket support like i thought)....those aftermarket steering columns are great---you can fit em anywhere....

EDIT: i tried to find a good pic of the dash but don't have an updated pic.....i'll take one tomorrow afternoon from the drivers seat.

Ahhhhhhhhhh....you decided to check back in on the Rookie!

Well....it was finished long enough to put 381 miles on it...

but the ElectronColliderModule sensors started failing & drained about $100 real fast.....(+ a new alternator)....

so I put the spare engine in it & eleminated bout a hundred wires.....

the answer is Yes....it's not done yet.....again.........:icon_bounceblue:
