I was wondering if that set-up can even work (my luck one of the batteries could explode). I might do stupid dangerous stuff but that doesnt seem like it would be fun if the battery exploded and got on your skin.

setup works fine in a pinch....and it definatly can blow up batteries.


do some basic research, fan the batteries when possible and always shield them from your work.
alternators and batteries for tacking and initial welding was all i could do till a few years back...

I went on youtube and saw it for myself, and wow. But i doubt BW is going to use this set-up for his truck (I hope he doesnt).

I have a 120 and 220 welder. Just need argon for em. Motor mounts get welded in as soon as I get a slip yoke for the trans. Then I'll pull the motor out to paint and do the chrome goodies. Bolt it back in. Fab up my exhaust. Do all the hookups and fire it up.

It's close. When I have the cash and time the I'll tear it apart and do the cam and intake and stuff

that's all folks
