Hey guys, just as the title says I just completed my body lift today, and viola, go to drive, and my Pioneer stereo is dead. I checked all wires and fuses I possibly could, and everything looks fine. Also have a pair of aftermarket foglites and one of them quit working (pretty sure it isn't burned out). We thought that maybe it was poor grounding, we did have some difficulty with the grounding strap from the engine to the firewall, and decided to take out the screw of the same type in the whole below it and just put it in that one instead. Does it matter which one of these its in?
Once again I checked all wires, fuses, multiple times over. Thanks for any assistance

time to get the multi meter out and start checking wires, id start with, the ground, get a known +12 and start ground checking start at the HU wireing harness and work your way back,

there is also a chance that you un did the ground and the HU has to be reset, it may think its been stolen what kind do you have.

IIRC there should be a reset button on the face somewhere, it'll be hard to see, and you'll need to use the tip of a pen to hit it.

umm a few things to try, the lil button, might be on the HU after you take your face plate off. some you just need to hold the sorce or power botton down, or both.

I couldn't find any reset pin hole anywhere, on or behind the faceplate...i'll try holding the source/power button (they are the same) tomorrow

also check to make sure you didnt blow the fuse on the back of the HU

Problem solved--thanks guys. So today i plugged in my factory radio to see if it worked, and it did, which rules out anything up till the headunit. I think the shoddy way i put the wiring harness in when i first got it gave way. I took it out and reconnected them properly, and viola! works again.
