That's gonna be tough to prove. Most states allow firing with no reason. If not they can find one. Good luck though I got fired like that from a job but it really came down to politics new management they cleared house...

mm i believe in ca there has to be a valid reason, and at the time of her termination they could not give her one. and the only way they would talk to her was over text. so she has all the evidence she needs. they cant come up in court and say that it was even verbal because no one would actually talk to her. every time I've resigned or been layed off I've always had to sign something that says i accept the terms of the resignation / termination. and they didn't bother to due that with her. So i believe she has some ground in court. I could be wrong though

Right to work has to do with union representation. At will is what we are talking about. I think they just didn't want to have to pay for unemployment benefits.

she has nothing to go to court for. maybe in some other place but not in cali. they dont need a reason, they dont have to give you a pinkslip or one week notice, and she probably signed papers agreeing to such terms when she started working for them.

only thing to go after would be if she cant collect unemployment because they say she resigned.
