I was on fordblueoval and found the below attached file.

Looks like the 4WD Regular Cab is no longer an option, neither is the 3.0L.

I despise all that security and tire monitoring crap. That should all be optional!

me too, security is my smith and wession and tire monitoring is me keeping my head out of my ass and paying attention to my tires:stirthepot:

Thanks for posting that.

A couple things I noticed: you can't order the 4 cylinder with the 8.8" axle, and the only L/S axle ratio you can get with 2WD is the 3:55. I wonder how long has that been the case?

And according to the table on Page 5, you can't get a 4 cyl. 4X4 at all, though I think that's been the case for a while now.

I wonder if it will be possible to get a 2.3L 4x4 5spd ranger?????

They stopped offering those a while back, Last year maybe 97'.

I like mine, but it would be cool to have a new one with a duratech. like 50 more hp.

They can dump this worthless 3.0 for all I care. Jeez it sucks as far as power goes. Good to know its long lasting though.

I still don't fully understand why torsion bar suspension is still used. Are they really that much better than coils? Another thing I don't get is why does anyone still use rear drums? They're needlessly complicated and less efficient and effective than discs.

Knowing Ford they are probably using the torsion bars to offset the cost of the drum brakes. Really though, I can't complain about the torsion bars in my F-150.

Well I've never really dealt with torsion bars so I was more looking for input. All I do know is that I don't see them on very many vehicles.
