Ive been busy building and restoring/modifying an old aristocraft/hitec kangaroo RC buggy.
I paid $40 on Craigslist for it as a roller. Someone had taken the front wheel drive components and put on a crappy body. I put in a vintage Mabuchi RS540SH motor, with a vintage futaba servo. For modern I out in a Traxxas XL5 waterproof ESC, and just tonight bought a Spektrum DX2E radio system. Well it finally moves, although the batt was near dead so its charging then I will get some pics. Its not totally done, I want a different body for it as it still has the crap one that came with it.

Isnt that body soo incredibly ugly? At the least I should re paint it

First time out and already have some carnage!
First, the right front hub randomly shattered

Then, the right front tie rod mount snapped

Sad part was, I didnt curb it or anything! Guess the plastic is just old

Remove and Rebuild!

That actually reminds me a good bit of that rc car on toy story. I bet it goes a good bit faster though.
And if those rims were original, I'm not really suprised it broke. Just gives you another reason to upgrade huh?
