Oh man does it sound good!

It's a 1994 factory shorty header welded to a couple pieces of 2" sch. 40 steel pipe that ends at a flange where the cat would usually begin. Then from the flange back it is all 2.25" pipe first through a turbo muffler then a thrush welded muffer (just like a flowmaster 40) and finally exits out of a 2.25" tail pipe for an F-150.

Disclaimer: "The above described vehicle is for off-road use only and therefore does not require a catalytic converter".

I made a video of it but the file's way too big to try and post for you guys to see.

At idle it doesn't sound like a 4 banger at all. I think it sounds like a cross between an old straight six and new modular V8 at idle. You can tell it's a 4-cylinder when you rev it but it's definately got a nice performance sound to it. Since there is two mufflers, it doesn't pop and crackle when you let off the gas. Inside the truck it's pretty quiet. I've noticed that the older I get the quieter I like it inside, so that's a good thing.

The Sch. 40 Pipe part:

From the flange back, first the turbo muffler, then the chambered:

And one from the outside:

LOL i hear ya when i was a teen /twenty something i liked it loud now im in my forties and if its louder than a mercury marquis its too loud....

Hey Im only 20 and I like quiet lol. I did have a stint with loud vehicles though. both my Buick Regal and My Grand Marquis had dual exhaust, then it was the Rangers turn with a slightly gutted thrush turbo muffler and no catalytic converter. yikes! Needless to say I have a cat, resonator and muffler on it now lol.
