ive done the common swap to my ranger the 2.3 turbo.. i was driving down the road the other day and it just died.. ok their was no spark no injector pulse it is low on gas i changed the computer ignition control module crank sensor and crank pulley but still nothing does anyone know if their is an inertia swith in the tank for low fuel ive got 38 pound of fuel pressure. no voltage to the control module but power everywhere else.. this is my daily driver and i need it back

you have fuel and no spark then? are you running a distributor setup or dual plug setup on that turbo motor?

ok no spark or fuel got gas in it now timing is fine first thing i checked and dual plug setup

you said you had 38psi at the rail, so you have fuel? i'm confused on this part. you said you put in a new ignition control module, did you make sure and put all 3 screws back in mounting it to the intake manifold? or do you have it mounted somewhere else and grounded? If the ICM isn't grounded properly you wont get spark.

yes 38 at the rail but the injectors arent pulsing which means no fuel being sprayed into the engine.. the icm is moved but on a piece on 1/4 inch aluminum with 2, 8 gauge grounds going to it, it has been workin like that for 6 month now no intercooler makes your intake manifold very hot

gotcha, dont know what it is. either a bad fuse/relay/ground a short in the wiring or your computer went out. I know that's a super vuage answer haha. sorry.

Update

After an extensive search the harness was burnt in half so after 2 weeks of searchin and multiple emails:sad:... i finally got the harness today :headbang:should be in tomorrow so ill see how many sensors are fried :bawling: should be running by the end of the week hopefully:icon_hornsup:

just out of curiosity, what part of the harness burnt, and was it because of exhaust heat or did something short on something?

the part of the harness that goes across the back of the motor on the trans got pinched when i put the motor back in between the head and firewall and melted in to but its took 3 months for me to figure it out and by then it was too late so thats how that happened
